Program Details

The Handbook of Thanatology, ADEC's essential body of knowledge for the study of death, dying and bereavement, is available as an online self-study course.

The Handbook of Thanatology Self Study Course offers online quizzes in six sections that mirror the printed handbook. Purchase and complete the quizzes online for continuing education credit or nursing contact hours. If you don't already own the Handbook of Thanatology itself, you can buy .pdf versions of its sections, or a hard copy of the entire book).

Each of the six sections of the Self Study Course contains a different number of quizzes which the learner must pass to earn credit for that section. Learners can earn continuing education credits or nursing contact hours. Purchase individual sections or a package of all six sections at once.

Scoring

A learner is allowed two attempts to take and pass each quiz. At the end of each quiz, scoring information will be available which shows the number of points earned. After completing all the quizzes in a section, please take the evaluation for that section and print your certificate of completion. Overall score for the entire section will be calculated based on a pass/fail rate of 75% of all quizzes of that section combined.

NASP - CE Learning Systems is NOT an approved provider for the National Association of School Psychologists. However, NASP does accept up to 30 credit hours from "sequenced programs," that don't need NASP approval.

Sequenced Programs are self studies developed and published to provide training in specific knowledge or skill areas. A test is typically given at the end of the course and usually a certificate of completion is issued.
This can include a courses taken on the Internet.

One topic = 15 CPD credits (unless otherwise specified and documented in self-study publication.)
