What time does the webinar begin where I am?
As the holidays approach, we know that our clients who are grieving the death of a loved one, those caring for someone seriously ill, or being ill themselves, are approaching the holiday season with anxiety and dread. Normalizing their feelings is helpful, but we know from experience and research that planning ahead can help to alleviate some of the stress. This presentation will address these difficult times, important factors such as cultural differences, the importance of rituals and specific helps for grieving children during the seasons.
Learning Objectives:
After participating in this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Identify at least two techniques directed at adults which are helpful in coping with loss during the holidays.
- Demonstrate at least two techniques directed a children which are helpful in coping with loss during the holidays.
- Integrate at least one factor to be considered in cultural differences as they impact holidays.
