Policy and Requirements
Individuals with a current physical or mental impairment or limitation described as a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), or comparable human rights law in their country, may request accommodations.
If you are requesting examination accommodations, please follow the specific instructions below:
- You must submit this request prior to the credentialing application deadline
- You much submit signed documentation from your healthcare provider to include:
- reason the testing accommodation is needed (diagnosis)
- specific accommodation recommendation
- You will be notified of accommodation status within 30 days of request whenever possible. ADEC may request additional information, which may result in longer processing times. Please allow additional time to fulfill accommodation requests.
Please Note:
- Your certification application and your accommodation request will be reviewed
separately
- An approved certification application does not mean that your accommodation
request is approved
- Exam score reports will not reveal that any testing accommodation was provided
